Snowflake - my Idol!

Snowflake was an extremely rare albino gorilla at Spain's Barcelona Zoo, who was a main tourist attraction to the area with his wrinkly white face on posters and postcards all over the city, and who spent 37 years at the zoo, fathering 22 offspring with three different females (none is albino), died Nov. 24 of skin cancer. He was believed to be around 40 years old.

I have used his unique visage as my avatar and online photo to represent me since college. It has always made me smile! Folks have asked me about the picture, so I thought I would share his history.
